I have always been a faithful and devoted husband to my wife, Ruth. I love her deeply and i am committed to our marriage.

But one day, everything changed.

A new HR manager was hired at my office, and her name was Sarah. She was smart, ambitious, and incredibly attractive.

Despite my best intentions, I found my self drawn to her in a way i couldn’t explain. When I was supposed to be enjoying the company of my wife, I would be lost in long chats with Sarah. She would always find a need topic to bring up when I tried to escape.

Before long, the communication bridge between I and Ruth started waning out. I started looking forward to seeing Sarah at work and wasn’t interested in going home early again.

My wife called my attention to it but I just gave a flimsy excuse. It was as if the lady had an invisible hold on me. I felt the Spirit’s warning within me as all this happened but i didn’t react to it.

One day, after a long day at the office, Sarah invited me out for a friendly chat over dinner to celebrate the successful launch of a new project. As she spoke, warning bells rang in my head.

My spirit wasn’t comfortable with her invitation.

I knew i shouldn’t go, but I couldn’t resist the temptation. I knew I was supposed to go to the comfort of my home but I trudged after her.

At the eatery, the two of us talked and laughed. It was getting very late and the eatery was getting deserted but she said she was enjoying my company. Before I knew it, I found myself caught up in the moment. Sarah leaned in to kiss me, and I couldn’t resist. The lady was all over me in the private session of the eatery and I did nothing.

Suddenly; an image flashed in my head; I saw I and Ruth in the church where we said our vows. My words roared back at me and I stilled.

“What’s wrong?” Sandra whispered seductively but I brushed her hands off my body and stood up hurriedly. I left without looking back. I was disappointed in myself and I knew God wasn’t happy with me.

Ruth was asleep by the time I got home. As if sensing my presence, the moment I laid beside her, my wife moved into my arms. Even as a single young man, I had never made a mistake letting my guard down around opposite gender. What happened to me? I wondered. I whispered a sincere apology to God before I slept off.

The next morning, I woke up with a sinking feeling in my stomach. I felt as if i had cheated on Ruth, the woman I loved more than anything.

I knew i had to tell her what had happened, but I was terrified of how she would react.

When I finally summoned the courage to confess, Ruth was shocked and hurt. But despite her pain, she could see how genuinely sorry I was. In that moment, Ruth knew that she couldn’t let this one mistake destroy our marriage.

With tears in her eyes, she told me that she forgave me. And as we held each other tight, we both knew that we were committed to rebuilding our relationship and moving forward together. We prayed about and also discussed precautions to take.

In the weeks and months that followed, I and Ruth worked hard to repair the damage that had been done. And as we grew closer and more in love than ever, we knew that our love was truly unconditional.

One night, as we lay in bed together, we made love with a passion and intensity that we had never known before. As we lost our selves in each other, we knew that God would help us to stay together, no matter what challenges we might face. I couldn’t help but praise her capacity for forgiveness and continued love for me as I adored her body with my mouth.

In that moment, I and Ruth knew that our love was stronger than any temptation or obstacle that might come our way. We were united in our faith and our love for each other, and nothing could ever tear us apart.

God helping us, our marriage will not be a failure.
